114A Evidence Act – The End of Internet Freedom?

Join us on 11 August for a scintillating discussion on whether the recently passed amendments to the Evidence Act by Parliament are marking the end of internet freedom. Presented in an exciting talk show format at the Kuala Lumpur Bar Council, the free forum – “114A Evidence Act – The End of Internet Freedom?” – will be moderated by lawyer Mahaletchumi Balakrishnan. In the hot seat, we’ve got four lawyers with different perspectives: Faisal Moideen, K. Shanmuga, Foong Cheng Leong, and Dato’ Saifuddin Abdullah. Those who have been waiting to go to the polls for the past one year will get a chance to cast their vote: for/against Section 114a, before and after the forum. You don’t have to be 21 or registered with the Elections Commission to exercise your right to vote!

When: 10 am-12 noon on Saturday, 11 Aug 2012

Where: Bar Council Auditorium, 15, Leboh Pasar Besar, 50050 Kuala Lumpur
